The proposed Readiness Programme will be aligned to the government’s strategic objectives and will build on previous ‘readiness’ interventions that supported government engagement and the implementation of its Country Programme with the GCF. This proposal is focused on growing the capacity and the ability of MSMEs to not only survive but thrive in the face of climate change.

The main focus of this readiness proposal will be:

1. Strengthening private sector engagement with the GCF through knowledge and capacity building;
2. Crowding -in private sector investment for climate actions; and
3. Building the capacity within the private sector to develop GCF concept notes/funding proposals.
