Enhancing Ethiopia’s Climate Resilience and Green Growth
This proposal aims to build the capacity of the National Designated Authority (NDA) in its effort of establishing strong climate governance/coordination mechanism across the country through the development and implementation country-wide climate investment framework and guidelines. It will also support key in-country stakeholders in their climate action implementation, and access to climate finance; in the course, the proposal will support the accreditation process of the Ethiopia Development Bank for effective utilization of climate resources according to the GCF’s procedure.
Furthermore, the proposal supports knowledge management and information sharing practices of the country with an approach of establishing a robust knowledge management and sharing mechanism, ensuring systematic storage of self-explanatory and user-friendly knowledge sharing instruments/tools that allow easy transfer of knowledge and skill across the institutions. This will further ensure the readiness outputs and outcomes contribute towards achieving national strategies and frameworks such as the Climate Resilient Green Economy Strategy (CRGE), the Ethiopia LT-LEDS, as well as the Updated National Determined Contributions and others.
