The updated Strategic Plan for the GCF (USP) 2020–2023 adopted in decision B.27/06 included key actions for the period in relation to improving access to GCF resources. Such actions included adopting a more strategic approach to accreditation, for which GCF would undertake, as soon as possible, an analysis of the current accredited entity (AE) portfolio to identify strengths and gaps in coverage and capabilities, informed by country programming needs. In decision B.31/XX (pending publication), the Board requested the Secretariat, pursuant to the USP 2020–2023, to present an analysis of the AE portfolio to identify strengths and gaps in coverage and capabilities no later than the thirty-second meeting of the Board. This document has been prepared by the Secretariat with respect to the AE portfolio as at 31 March 2022 in response to decision B.31/XX (pending publication).
