This report presents the findings and recommendations of an independent synthesis of direct access in the Green Climate Fund undertaken by the Independent Evaluation Unit (IEU). The IEU conducted this evaluation as part of its 2022 Work Plan, which was approved by the Board at its thirtieth meeting (B.30) in October 2021 (document GCF/B.30/12). This document includes an assessment on the efficiency and effectiveness of direct access within the GCF.
