Annex IV: Innovation and Additionality Tool
This document is the annex IV to the GCF Appraisal Guidance.
This Innovation and Additionality Tool (IAT) is being developed specifically to assess the additionality of concept notes and funding proposals for projects and programmes as put forward to the GCF. The tool will be separate but complementary to the existing Investment Criteria Scorecard (ICS) v2 Excel file. While the IAT can be operated as a standalone tool, users have the option of importing data from an existing instance of the ICS tool to avoid redundancy in data entry.
