Integrated Landscape Management Approach for Climate-Resilient Water Security and Livelihoods in the Uganda Cattle Corridor (Project)
The ILMAC Project is seeking support from the GCF's project preparation facility to conduct various essential activities related to project preparation. The requested project preparation support encompasses several critical activities as shown below;
- Pre-feasibility and Feasibility Studies: These studies will involve assessing the viability of the proposed project. The studies will analyze aspects such as technical feasibility, economic viability, and potential benefits. This will help to determine if the project is achievable and worth pursuing.
- Project Design: Project design will involve outlining the detailed plan for the project, including its scope, objectives, activities, and timeline. Proper design will ensure that the project's goals align with the project’s intended outcomes and that its implementation is efficient and effective in accordance with the GCF priorities.
- Environmental and Social Gender Studies: These studies will focus on understanding the potential environmental and social impacts of the project. The studies will also pay specific attention to how the project might affect different genders within the communities. Identifying these impacts helps in incorporating measures to mitigate negative effects and enhance positive outcomes.
- Risk Assessments: Improving the project's chances of success, risk assessments identify potential challenges and uncertainties that could arise during project implementation. By identifying these risks upfront, the project management team will be able to develop strategies to manage or mitigate them,
- Identification of Project Level Indicators: Project level indicators are measurable criteria that help evaluate the project's progress and success. Defining these indicators beforehand allows for better tracking of the project's impact and effectiveness over time.
