The requested Readiness and Preparatory (R&P) Support proposal aims to enable the effective participation of Equatorial Guinea inthe Green Climate Fund (GCF) by strengthening the capacities of the National Designated Authority (NDA) and supporting the formulation a GCF country programme.

The R&P project will support the NDA’s team through the following activities: (i) strengthening of national capacities to promote, evaluate, monitor and report on GCF country activities, includingthrough the establishment of an inclusive institutional structure and coordination mechanisms (where all stakeholders including the national Ministry dealing with Gender equality,are represented), recruitment ofnational and international experts, and organization of relevant trainings and exchanges of experiences ; (ii) organization of workshops and consultations with the national actors and sectors involved so as to facilitate coordination and multi-stakeholder engagement, as well as to initiate the development of a GCF country programme;
