The readiness proposal will focus on all 5 outcomes in the logical framework presented in this template, including Outcome 1: Country capacity strengthened; Outcome 2: Stakeholders engaged in consultative processes; Outcome 3: Direct access realized; Outcome 4: Access to finance and; Outcome 5: Private sector mobilization. Through wide national stakeholder consultations, the NDA will develop a Strategic Framework and Country Programme to engage not only with the GCF but other sources of climate financing that Kiribati is yet to gain access to, including but not limited to the Adaptation Fund and Climate Investment Fund. This approach will be undertaken to ensure Kiribati is strategically positioned to engage with the various sources of climate financing but in particular with the GCF.
