This readiness proposal aims at strengthening the capacity of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) National Designated Authority (NDA) in Central African Republic (CAR) to mobilise climate finance from a variety of sources, including the GCF. The readiness resources to be mobilized through this project will support the recently established National Climate Coordination (Coordination Nationale Climat) in the process of identifying, developing and mobilising resources to finance ambitious projects addressing the impacts of climate change, which are threatening the country transformational vision to become by 2030 “an emerging country endowed with an economy that is diversified, sustainable and uniformly shared throughout the national territory, a modern state open to the world and committed to an ethic and to technological innovation”.
