On 24 September 2024, the GCF held an information session on the new Readiness Operational Modalities, as part of a series of regular information sessions on the 2024-2027 strategy for the Readiness and Preparatory Support Programme.

This session marked the hard launch of the operational modalities, following the soft launch earlier in the year. It reflected our participatory approach to operationalising the strategy and its instruments. We have carefully considered feedback gathered through previous sessions, polls, and written submissions since the detailed introduction of the readiness strategy at COP28 and the subsequent soft launch.

National Designated Authorities (NDAs), Focal Points, and Direct Access Entities (DAEs) were invited to this session, where we focused on the access and delivery modalities that have been progressively introduced and refined throughout the year based on stakeholder feedback, and where we introduced relevant practical guides and tools. 

To accommodate different time zones, the session was held at two different times:

This session was intended for participants based in the Pacific, Latin America, and Caribbean regions

Session 2
Tuesday, 24 September 2024
6:00 PM – 7:30 PM Korea Standard Time (KST)   
This session was intended for participants in Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe.
