Onboarding Webinar on REDD+ results-based payments

At its 39th meeting in July 2024, the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Board approved 13 principles on mainstreaming REDD+ RBPs. The Board also requested the Secretariat to prepare a proposal consistent with these principles for integrating a REDD+ RBPs funding modality into the regular project and programme activity cycle of the Fund, and to undertake open, inclusive and transparent consultations in this regard.

As part of these consultations, a technical workshop will be organized 3 to 6 September 2024 in a hybrid format to facilitate discussions on mainstreaming REDD+ RBPs with a view to finalizing a draft policy document for a submission to the GCF Board for the 40th meeting of the GCF Board.  

In order to prepare participants for the technical workshop an onboarding webinar will be held on 27 August 2024 from 9 pm to 10:30 pm Korean Standard Time (KST).

The objective of this webinar is to provide comprehensive updates on the REDD+ RBP consultations, including the latest status and progress of the approved REDD+ RBP projects, as well as lessons learned. In addition, the draft document to be discussed at the workshop in September will be introduced.
