GCF appoints Kavita Sinha as Private Sector Facility Director

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) appointed Kavita Sinha as the new Director of its Division of Private Sector Facility (PSF) after completing a competitive selection process. An experienced climate change and clean energy executive and corporate leader, she brings over 20 years of senior leadership and management experience with an established track record in leveraging public and private capital for economic and social impact in developing countries. 

As PSF Director, she will oversee the leadership and management direction of GCF’s private sector initiatives and as a member of the senior management team, work in advancing the Fund’s strategic goals.  

Kavita was previously the Deputy Director of the Division of Mitigation and Adaptation and the Director of PSF on an ad interim basis from March 2022. Her permanent appointment as PSF Director will become effective in February 2023.
