GCF Digital Proposal Submission system goes live
The Green Climate Fund (GCF) takes its digital transformation a step further with the launch of the new Digital Proposal Submission (DPS) system.
As part of GCF’s efforts to simplify and digitise its business processes, the DPS system is designed to receive concept notes and funding proposals for both Simplified Approval Process projects (SAP) and the Standard Proposal Approval Projects (PAP) from Accredited Entities (AEs) and National Designated Authorities (NDAs). By eliminating manual processes and streamlining the workflow, it will enhance the transparency of the review process by the GCF Secretariat. It replaces the SAP Online Submission System (SAP OSS) which has been in use since 2019.
The DPS builds upon the lessons gained from SAP OSS. It is lightweight and performs well in places with slow and inconsistent internet connections. It is expected to digitise the way AEs and NDAs upload concept notes and project proposals – in as little as 15 minutes with the DPS.
The DPS is now accessible for all AEs and NDAs through the GCP Apps Portal. It is also integrated with the other apps in the GCF business process ecosystem.
