GCF signing enhances renewables uptake in Nepal

GCF has signed an agreement with Nepal’s Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC) to help boost this mountainous country’s ability to expand its renewable power and improve energy efficiency. The signing of the Accreditation Master Agreement (AMA) allows GCF to begin providing funds to address mitigation and adaptation needs in Nepal, focusing on vulnerable communities. AEPC was accredited as a GCF climate action partner in February last year.
