GCF signs first partnership with Japanese bank
GCF has opened a new path of funding from Japan’s private sector with the recent signing of an agreement with the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ.
The Green Climate Fund has opened a new path of funding from Japan’s private sector with the recent signing of an Accreditation Master Agreement (AMA) with the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ.
The signing of Accreditation Master Agreements (AMA) is a prerequisite for all GCF Accredited Entities, such as the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, to implement GCF-approved projects.
The bank was accredited with GCF in July 2017. It has the largest overseas network of any Japanese bank, with a network spanning over 50 countries and regions.
