Tuesday was another busy day inside and outside the GCF pavilion with events on climate resilience, and climate rationale as well as negotiations, signings and lots of meetings. Tomorrow promises to be even busier, starting with a joint GEF - GCF event, and ending with GCF's Ministerial side event.
Midway through week two of the COP seems to be when delegates are really feeling the pace, and tiredness sets in. Negotiations are still being hard-fought though, including on climate finance, and also on the guidance to GCF for next year, which is reflecting some of the more general tensions at this year's climate conference around the IPCC 1.5C report, and the provision of climate finance. Whilst negotiators have made some progress, lots of work remains for the Ministers, as the infamous square brackets signalling different proposals are still present in many draft texts.
