Readiness implementation: Putting learning at the center
Virtual
13 - 14 February 2024
With the recently approved Revised Readiness Strategy for the period 2024-2027 and building on over 8 years of Readiness implementation experience, the need for more focused learning and sharing amongst Readiness Partners and the GCF Secretariat to catalyze transformational Climate Action is even more relevant. It is in this context that the GCF DPM Readiness Team jointly with GIZ shall co-convene a virtual learning meeting bringing together Delivery Partners, NDAs, DAES, experts and GCF staff to share lessons learned and good practices from readiness implementation and monitoring. As we are aiming at hosting in the future learning events inclusive of all Readiness partners and implementer, invitations to register for this first iteration has only been sent to a small number of partners to get our collective learning journey in 2024 started.
Objectives: To map, identify and exchange lessons learned and good practices. To identify challenges experienced by NDAs and DAEs, generate ideas to contribute to the implementation of the new Readiness strategy, map and discuss innovative approaches and models, and finally formulate recommendation to strengthen Readiness South-South learning and sharing agenda for practical actions.
Format: The event will be conducted virtually providing a platform for interactive discussions and collaborative knowledge sharing for over 40 participants.
Agenda: The event agenda will be structured around three learning themes: 1) Capacity building and pipeline development; 2) Operational efficiency and collaboration; and 3) Hunting-gathering for Readiness innovations, with an opening and a closing with key speakers from all participants.
Expected outcomes: The learning event aims to foster collaboration, south-south knowledge sharing, and the creation of collective momentum to improve operational efficiency and innovative thinking in Readiness programming.
