The Productive Development Bank (BDP) is in Stage 1 of its accreditation by the Green Climate Fund (GCF), and this proposal is aimed at giving continuity to the actions carried out in its Action Plan. BDP has initiated a process of awareness raising and training targeting sectors that are still not yet involved in climate management, including the banking sector and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

In this sense, this Readiness proposal will contribute to the following results:

• Enhance BDP's technical and financial capabilities for effective management of transformative investments in low-carbon and climate-resilient development. This involves utilizing various financial instruments, blending resources, and designing innovative funding mechanisms. The outcomes also underscore the importance of improving BDP's skills in identifying, prioritizing, and shaping climate projects, ultimately enabling more impactful contributions to sustainable initiatives.
• Design and develop an MRV system for green finance operations linked to national systems in the forestry, water, agriculture, and energy sectors. This system aims to track climate investments to contribute to NDCs and reduce risk in prioritized sectors.
• Strengthen the bank's capacities to develop two concept notes for the GCF on Financial Instruments for Forests, and Promote access to Early Warning Systems and the efficient use of water in vulnerable municipalities of the Chaco and Bolivian Altiplano, which will give Bolivia greater power to take action in populations vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.
