This workshop is designed to focus on impact and results reporting in Section 2 of the logical framework within the Annual Performance Report. With the newly established Department of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (DMEL) at the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the Fund aims to enhance the accuracy, transparency, comparability, and completeness of GCF’s impact reporting. This initiative will help GCF to effectively communicate its impact to stakeholders and align with the upcoming GCF 10-year anniversary report.

The session will emphasize the shift toward a more quantitative approach to tracking progress against targets, enabling better comparability and disaggregation at the country level. We will also review common mistakes from the APR 2023 submissions and highlight key methodological aspects to enhance future reporting. Furthermore, the workshop will explain how DMEL can support Accredited Entities (AEs) and Executing Entities (EEs) in strengthening their impact reporting and provide a chance for direct questions. Additionally, GCF recognizes the need for clearer guidance for AEs and EEs on Sections 3 (Financial Information) and 4 (Environmental and Social Safeguards, and Gender Action Plan). Therefore, after the presentation, Portfolio Leads, Finance Specialists, and Environmental and Social Safeguards (ESS) and Gender Specialists will be available for a live Q&A session to address any questions.
