Fondo Mexicano para la Conservación de la Naturaleza A.C. (FMCN) is a national private entity based in Mexico with the mission to provide strategic technical and financial support to sustain Mexico’s natural treasure. Founded in 1994, FMCN brings over 30 years of expertise in funding climate change adaptation and mitigation efforts throughout Mexico. It does so by driving resource mobilization, building partnerships with stakeholders from different sectors, and exploring innovative mechanisms for conservation. As an environmental fund, FMCN focuses on biodiversity conservation, marine and coastal protected areas, forest preservation, sustainable agriculture, combating deforestation, water resource management, and promoting local community development.
