The Board of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) requested the Secretariat to prepare for consideration by the Board, at its eighteenth meeting, a review and update of the Fund-wide Gender Policy and Action Plan adopted in decision B.09/11.

On 20 April 2017, the GCF Secretariat published a call for public inputs inviting Board members, Alternate Board members, and observer organizations to provide their submissions in relation to the review and update of the GCF Gender Policy and Action Plan. A total of 37 submissions were received and the inputs have been incorporated into a draft Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Policy and Action Plan.

Following requests from the GCF Board, at its eighteenth meeting, GCF is now inviting further inputs from Board members, Alternate Board members, National Designated Authorities (NDA)/Focal Points (FP), Accredited Entities (AE), accredited observer organisations, civil society organisations and the public at large on the draft of the updated GCF Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Policy and Action Plan.
