RFP 2019/C/043: Operationalization of AML/CFT Standards
GCF is committed to the highest ethical standards regarding Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) consistent with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) recommendations in its “International Standards on Combating Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism & Proliferation.” The AML/CFT Policy (the Policy) of the Fund aims to safeguard against Money Laundering (ML) and the Financing of Terrorism (FT). The Policy outlines the principles and minimum standards of internal AML/CFT controls which should be adhered to by the GCF to mitigate reputational, regulatory, legal and financial loss risks.
The AML/CFT Standards (the Standards) set the minimum and mandatory standards to prevent, detect, and investigate money laundering and financing of terrorism, and to control and manage related risks. The Policy and the Standards shall be operationalized by standard operating procedures (SOPs) to be developed by the Secretariat and the Independent Integrity Unit (the IIU).
Through this RFP, the GCF is seeking a qualified firm to provide COnsultancy Services for Operationalization of the AML/CFT Stanadrds.
