Partnering on climate action in Eastern Europe and Central Asia
20 Mar 2024 / Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia – Authorities and partners from across eastern Europe and central Asia came together to accelerate their engagement with the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and share experiences of tackling climate change in their countries. Identifying and developing climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives in the region is one of the aims of the week. A series of technical and programme-related discussions and workshops are taking place to design projects within Green Climate Fund’s updated strategic plan for 2024-2027.
GCF and North Macedonia sign agreements that strengthen bilateral cooperation
25 Sep 2023 / The Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Green Climate Fund (GCF) met on 19 September 2023 to sign a bilateral privileges and immunities agreement that will grant GCF privileges and immunities in line with those of other international organisations. The two parties also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for North Macedonia to host a GCF regional dialogue in 2024.
